Kinda like that recent movie Nope. Jesus Christ what garbage.
I have to tell you, I really appreciate this comment. I hated that movie and everyone I know in the business loved it. People I honestly respect had it as one of best movies of the year. Some even said it was the best. I actually bought it on 4K to watch again just to see if I was totally wrong but, as is typical of me, I haven't even unwrapped it yet.

My favorite Pat waste of time TV appearance was this moment in NASA's Unexplained Files where Pat talks about how Liquid Metal aliens would freeze to death on earth and every other guest, including the narrator, immediately point out that they would have the technology to solve that problem if they could make it to earth.

This is a great find and absolutely hilarious. I wonder if the producers pushed back on his ideas in real time and explained why his "freeze to death" idea was stupid. Because at around 9:57 he seems like he's seething so much he's flustered when he says "they'd have to go, uh, pretty deep into our mantle before they found uh, s-spot..." before crescendo-ing into a condescending douche-like "...where they would consider it to be real beach-like for them". I bet the producers hated him.

Hilarious that that was an editorial choice. "Let's show the smug fat guy saying something dumb and then clip a couple of actual scientists explaining why he's wrong."

Would have loved to witness him watching it live for the first time. Lots of those "hrrmph" noises he made on Josiah 5, furious googling and "no, physicist child"ing at the TV and a pilled out Niki.
I guarantee he didn’t even pick up on it. He probably just sat there and grinned like an idiot as he rambled on about how great his appearance was.

I didn't notice that but that'a a great spot too. He really does seem quite cunty when they go back to him.
