Remember with Brinton Resto misrepresented his case in front of Judge Ashley in Milwaukee? I do. The judge expressed the opinion that the case should be withdrawn due to clear venue issues, but Resto, knowing that most/all of the defendants were indeed outside of Wisconsin, declared on the record that he was not aware of any venue issues. A cursory glance of the case would prove that this is not so.

His misrepresentation of the facts allowed for a furtherance, costing his client tens of thousands of extra funds that will be wasted because - SURPRISE! - there are venue issues just like the Judge suspected. I guess playing with your cuffs awkwardly in a shitty marketing photo justifies this unacceptable, disgusting behavior? Even if such a misrepresentation is not cause for disbarment (this remains to be seen), such an evasive answer to a clear and answerable question strikes me as unethical. I am not a lawyer but I’m a professional and far more educated than wine lawyer Brinton Resto, and in my opinion he committed a serious ethical breach and should have withdrawn the case.

I sure do hope this plaintiff and those funding plaintiff’s lawsuit don’t reach the same conclusion and sue to recover the funds that Resto’s malfeasance cost them. That would really be tragic!
