Something is going on, her mom is getting sick of paying her daughter AND her lazy husband to be irresponsible adult assholes. The family knows his writing career isn’t even a weekend hobby and needs to show proof of some kind of work. This way he can say he’s “working” and something will break soon, “I swear!”

This trip was booked before the lol suit really got out of hand and around the vaccination coming out. Piggy prob told Niki’s mom he’d be getting a job soon and this would be a nice reward for the two of them. Two week vacation in Costa Rica? Even wealthy working people don’t take that long of a vacation in one place but these two bums have no place to be.

Something sounds like a bankruptcy is in the plan, Niki did it before so it’s not a foreign idea. Piggy can go on all these vacations but a job is beneath him because working to pay bills is evil and racist. Pig will go on vacations but claim he can’t work due to Covid from other people. Also Costa Rica is where all American hicks visit. He won’t need a word of Spanish and the only local he’ll meet will be serving his drinks or cleaning his pig sty. It’s Cancún but more southern.

Homer somehow went on an international vacation every year despite being an overweight slob with a dead end job that did nothing but drink cheap beer and sit on the couch.
