haven't seen anything new wrestling in many years outside of clips where AEW people botch or embarrass themselves.
That's what I hate about wrestling these days---these young guys just can't do it like the greats in years past. They're "pretending" instead of "being."

Old school pro wrestling died with Chris Benoit, in my opinion. Now there's a man who gave his entire body, mind, and soul to the business and went absolutely mad because of it. He was the last of his kind, you know, wrestlers who worked rough nearly every day of the year and didn't seem to care about their safety as long as it drew money. You rarely see the kind of intensity he carried himself with in modern, especially younger wrestlers. The art has devolved into a much safer, extremely planned out and rehearsed style, where the wrestlers work less and you can tell they're trying to protect themselves and their opponents. Add to that the hokey acting that's common place in wrestling, and you have a much tamer and ultimately lamer product. Plus the crowds are a bunch of self aware "smart" fans who think they're part of the show. It's unwatchable. Wrestling was much more fun when it was a bunch of roided up pill-head lunatic stunt men improvising their matches with hillbilly commentators.

And yes I know I'm a faggot for waxing lyrical about wrestling.

Roman Reigns and then with all his family members, Ric Flair's daughter, and all this human trash got inserted and the company had to hold their hands through every little moment to prevent disaster. But now Vince isn't there to do that anymore. WWF used to be a machine of creating amusing characters. Now the characters are like coached college kids, The DMAN has never seen so many wrestlers break character than in the short few AEW clips he's seen.

Like the girl who ran in with the chair and the other 2 knew she wouldn't use it, so they just stood there and made her look weak. A real russler would have cracked both of those whores open a nice can of CTE.

Watched it for the first time in over a decade because we have Peacock. It's not great. Everything felt slow but also super choreographed. I like 70's and 80's wrestling that was slow and methodical, but nothing is worse than wrestling that is that speed, but everyone stands around waiting for someone to get comfortable enough to do a flip into a pile of patiently waiting wrestlers on the outside. Tiffany Stratton is hot and that man bitch Charlotte Flair ruined her teeth.

Without the conceit of the whole thing being a legitimate sport, where the goal is to compete for and win the championship, it's all pointless, retarded nonsense. The entire business has been chipping away at that conceit for decades now. The "rules" barely exist, and there are no consequences for breaking them, which ruins the whole good guy/bad guy paradigm. So you end up with lots of identical guys doing choreographed high spots and retarded stunts just to make the crowd go oooh, ahhh, holy shit. AEW is the culmination of this, but WWE is equally unwatchable, with the tiresome skits, promo speeches, and interchangeable characters doing pointless, stupid things for no reason.

I'm so looking forward to seeing 20 random run in cameos from WWE legends such as Undertaker, SCSA, and Mae Young in tonight's main event which I'm sure will make up for the lackluster Road to Wrestlemania booking. Hopefully for each one they'll do that lights-off/lights-on thing too.

And I was so shocked the rat face Shield guy joined forces with the human walrus ECW guy. Totally didn't see that coming. Reminds me of the sort incredibly thought out booking you would see on a Backlash PPV.

I'm definately thinking about attending next year's Wrestlemania. Let me see if I have $17,000 lying around first.
