WWAWD having a decently powerful gaming PC and only playing under demanding indie games?

Do not do it.

That's what lead me to getting my PC. I had purchased the Rog Ally X a few weeks before the PC. I enjoyed it, especially when I would connect it to my TV or monitor and use it as a console. When doing that, you naturally want to bump up the quality and that's where the handheld suffered. I learned you can attach an external GPU and I was very close to doing that, but when I did the math of the handheld plus external GPU case, plus GPU it would push you close to $1500 and at that price you can get a PC that's more powerful and capable than the handheld.

Thankfully best buy has a great return policy. I just brought the Ally back and said I wanted a computer instead and the sassy black girl behind the counter said no problem and refunded right away.

Yeah I'll probably just get a comparable laptop around that price if I decide to go through with it but it would really be pointless for the amount of gaming I actually do anymore. I could cope and pretend I'd play more often if I had a decent machine but that's probably not true - I can't game until the kids are in bed and the one or two games I play only hold my attention for an hour or so. I mostly play chess on my phone to scratch the itch. Trackmania is pretty fun, though. It's a tough one, man. Genuinely.

I've got a nice gaming PC that I play phone games with (Hearthstone). Been playing some Diablo 4 and dabbling in Albion Online. Mainly cruise the forums though lmao

Bought a gaming laptop myself: not because I play any games (except Creatures now and then), but because I’m a clumsy gay and things in my possession tend to break, so I have a history of snapping or destroying flimsier models of computer. Usually the fucking hinge or the screen.

This one, a reinforced case MSI, is holding up marvellously, I have to say, even though it’s ugly and bricky and designed all cyber like a nerdy straight student’s tech.

Would have just gone retro and got a desktop, but I needed portability plus haven’t space at home for a PC.

Actually that's a lie, I bought Atomfall the other day. Some aspects of it are great, some are anywhere from shit to fuckin' shit. If you're American I'd steer clear, the 50s accents are hammed up to fuck in a way that's only going to annoy you. The control mechanics are shite. It's a cool idea, and if I give it one positive it's that you don't know who you are. You're basically a pair of hands with amnesia. The non binaries will be fuming.

Built a new computer a year and half ago, top specs and all. I pay my bills, check my fidelity account and sometimes play crusader kings 3 or cities skylines 1 on weekends. Not the best use of my money. Waiting for Everquest 3 to come out so I can relive my wasted youth and young adulthood.

I'm still playing Overwatch like a dipshit. Shit's fun though. I piss away a ton of hours in Tropico 6, though once you figure out a sustainable post World War economy you've effectively beaten the sandbox mode no matter the difficulty.
