Shit I can only have 2 vehicles on screen before my computer starts melting down but that game is the only reason I’d need to upgrade for a long long time
I'm new to PC gaming. I always wanted one but always stuck with consoles. When twitch started getting popular I'd watch people play games like PUBG and beam and it really made me want to get one more than ever. I always held back over the years, cost was never really an issue but just not having the time to figure out specs and whatnot.

I finally broke back in November when I was at best buy just browsing and they had a pre build that looked oddly underpriced for it's specs. I hopped on PCpartpicker at the store and built the same PC and it was actually less to get the pre build from best buy.

I've added a few upgrades but nothing crazy. Just some extra fans, better keyboard and mouse, and just the other day added an extra SSD because the that came with the system is way too low. I bought a 4TB and it's probably way more than I need, but SSDs are on sale on Amazon right now and this 4TB was only $300. I had over $100 in Amazon credits and it was burning a hole in my pocket.

Btw, what specs are you running? You deserve more than 2 cars at a time.

Now that the 50 series Nvidia cards are out you can find a 40 series pre build for a decent price, maybe even some higher end 30 series ones.

I have a 4070 Super and the CPU is a Ryzen 7 7700 and it seems to handle everything at high or ultra settings with no issues. I play flight Simulator at ultra and get well over 60 fps in my Cessna.

I don't need everything to run at 200fps like some PC gamers. Anything over 60 is more than enough for me because if anything my CPU is what would be holding me back in terms of specs.

I keep wanting to pull the trigger on one of those handhelds like the asus or whatever then I remember I only play indies or older games. I wouldn't mind being able to play trackmania without lag, though. Fawk.

Do not do it.

That's what lead me to getting my PC. I had purchased the Rog Ally X a few weeks before the PC. I enjoyed it, especially when I would connect it to my TV or monitor and use it as a console. When doing that, you naturally want to bump up the quality and that's where the handheld suffered. I learned you can attach an external GPU and I was very close to doing that, but when I did the math of the handheld plus external GPU case, plus GPU it would push you close to $1500 and at that price you can get a PC that's more powerful and capable than the handheld.

Thankfully best buy has a great return policy. I just brought the Ally back and said I wanted a computer instead and the sassy black girl behind the counter said no problem and refunded right away.

Just spent more than I'd like to upgrading my gpu for a new game I was gonna play with my brother. Game ended up being a massive piece of shit so that powerhouse gpu just ended up playing old/indie shit and rarely breaking out of the 40° C range.
Play repo with your brother. You'll have a blast.

Your GPU will still sit idle though.
