lol im sure Amazon gave up customer information because the customer left a review saying "not good"
I doubt places like Twitter and Amazon would give that information up unless it was a more serious circumstance. I think the reason so much of it is going after the funeral home is because they knew it was probably could get the info.

The funeral home wasn't even discussed in today's hearing and Brinton said everything is riding on the Califronia case. What happened to your claim of cyber piracy...perhaps that wasn't an actual issue...

everytime rick has "won" it really just adds a layer of protection. he doesnt even know usernames that match the old forum to this forum lol

Excellent point, child. As someone else pointed out recently - it would've been so much easier to try and get IP addresses from accounts when we were still on Reddit. Especially when you consider how generally faggoty and left leaning Reddit is.

He really thought getting us kicked off Reddit was going to be the end of everything, which is why he was constantly declaring victory around that time.

Oh Rick - how'd that work out for you, sweetie?

Because Pat and the SFWA are running out of money, so they're using whats left to focus on Quasi. I think a lot of the John Doe's they never were actually going to go after in court and Pat was just trying to get their info to dox them which didn't work. Lets say by some miracle that Quasi's motion to quash gets denied, they had enough trouble theres no way he's going to try and go after someone for a book review saying it "was not good".

Cloudflare also has a free tier. I would imagine you don't have to actually give more than an email address to use that level of service. They could just get more useless information from cloudflare after going through all of that...

Guess we will have to wait to find out.

This 100%. The website of a privately owned small business is going to cough up record for a subpoena without batting an eye. Amazon is not assisting a lawsuit that hinges on proving their review system, the backbone of their empire, was exploited, especially knowing litigious cunts might take that as an admission of fault and sue them next.

lol if you read the original filing he names @DanMullen and @FatrickSlobinson and says "They were mean".
No way even a leftist hivemind like Twitters gives their user data out for shit like that.

From what I remember from the complaint wasn't he trying to tie Dan Mullen to cyber piracy or something because he posted links to download his book? Pretty funny stuff.

Dont be disillusioned with the court system. The lesson here is that you shouldnt just throw frivolous lawsuits around willy nilly. If you have nothing, you will be drained of 100k and have to pay the other guy back.

Imagine learning that lesson the hard way and still being fat at the end of it all to boot. Oh Rick.

Another point of note about how much Ashley doesn't give a shit and/or has no idea what he's talking about. He mentioned the action in California as a motion to dismiss. It is the single most important component in the current Wisconsin suit and he didn't even care to get it right.

I'm also pretty sure that in California it would be a demurrer not a motion to dismiss. So he was, like, double secret wrong.

I know that and I'm not even a lawyer.

I wonder how much Brinton actually knows. It seems like almost everything in this farce of a lawsuit is just shit planted for them to find and none of it is even close to being true. It still sounds from the filings like they think Quasi has real info on members of this board because that was the shit that was in whatever Sue's Alamo is/was. It sounds to me from Apostle's last article that Sue's Alamo was just a big honeypot to give Seth and Rick false info. I don't see how this ends well for Rick. Say Quasi gets drug into court, I would imagine the conversation would go something like this:

Judge: Rahul, the plaintiffs have provided screen captures from your forum where you appear to have knowledge of the identities of some users of your board.

Rahul: Well, your honor. If you refer to the documents we have provided, all of that material is complete fiction. Furthermore, as you can see in the documents, none of that material was available to the public. The plaintiffs broke several computer crime laws to illegally access the board and obtain such material.

Judge: Case dismissed. Plaintiff to be arraigned for breaking the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. He's also very fat. Additionally, plaintiff attorney Resto to be investigated to see if he was a participant in said illegal activity.

Patrick: "I never lie little one. No hush, child"
