Spike Lee meets Anthony Cumia

Please watch the Itchy and Scratchy Friends Hour!
You know something? You corrected me.

I'll give him The 25th Hour, I completely forgot about that one. It's raw yet sincere, and it's a very well contained story. There's a big part of me that gives a lot of that credit to Edward Norton, despite how much of a cunt he is - and fuck, is he ever - he's an actors actor.

But it's still Spikes movie. I'll give him that one.
Yeah plus he filmed it right after 9/11 so the dirty look of the city wasn't done in post.

For the last time, I am NOT Frank Grimes!
25th Hour > Inside Man > Clockers > Do The Right Thing

The WW2 movie he directed was not good , even The Five Bloods was not really good either...

Edit : totally forgot to add Clockers

I didn't take to Inside Man. Actually, I think it's his plainest movie.

You watch it and I don't see the little signs that he made it. I see it in The 25th Hour, but not here. It could've been directed by fucking Brett Ratner and I wouldn't have been surprised. There's no distinct style, hence my example.

Good story, good acting, suspenseful even. But a movie is also it's visuals, and the touches aren't really there.

The only part of that movie that has a signature Spike Lee thing is when Denzel is walking at one part and the "camera in your face" thing that he does. Not sure if that makes sense, but yea it really is a plain movie, great call

I saw Malcolm X when it came out, and then saw it again about 25 years later.

The most glaring thing that I noticed, is just how GAY that fucking movie is. Gay porn is less gay than the movie "Malcolm X."

If Malcolm was still alive, he would hate the movie about him.

He was a straight up pimp/drug dealer before getting locked up. That movie should have been alot grimier
