Opie has a very bad habit of thinking guests booked to promote things are his friends. OK, so Rogan came on a few times. Now you're boys? Hanging out? Playing games on a Discord call together? It was clear as day to everyone that Opie was the weakest link on the show. Rogan 100% knew this. Why would Rogan give any shits about having Opie on his show. Who would care and what would he really have to say?

Don't get the tone of the post wrong, I think Rogan is a homo. The times he'd be in with Burr and Patrice and Bobby all bashing each other he'd just sit there and hoot like a monkey and occasionally pile on Erock, but he was obviously afraid to mix it up with the other comics. Watching him in current day surround himself with lower comedians who are afraid to make fun of him is hilarious.

The fact that Opie's still so sore about this lets you know he had big plans for his podcast when it first started out. He was probably imagining he'd be able to get tons of big names from doing O&A for all those years and getting millions of views. I'm sure it wasn't just Rogan that turned him down but most big names. So then he just gave up and started doing his whole rambling to camera/it's just a hang, maaaan thing from his apartment where he gets a few dozen people watching.

I've been to lunches with Derosa, we went to a Horror Con together, etc. Opie and Rogan never went to lunch. They never met up at Monster Mania to hang out. You understand? Opie's relationship to Rogan was "Host" and that's all it ever was.
