They're not fucking Nickelback, lad. Grohl, instrumentally, is incredibly talented. No one in my band dismisses that at all - except Alicja, he couldn't match her on the violin, I'm sure.

They just write a lot of empty shit, and that makes them interchangeable with any band out there when they do.

What kind of fucking band writes an album with nothing to say, am I right?

Talent and output don't go hand in hand. The rhythm section of Limp Bizkit are talented. That singer of Nickelback is skilled at writing schlock. Dave Grohl is very talented with many instruments and is probably cool compared to his peers. Probot was an interesting project. Foo Fighters are absolute garbage. Less merit to them than U2 and about on par with Linkin Park. I guess being less annoying than Nickelback is a small victory though. A victory shared with Red Hot Chili Peppers, but that wouldn't stop me from judging people who enjoy them either.

Sometimes I forget he made Probot, and it restores a lot of the credit I don't give him.

Then I remember he had that hidden track with that idiot Jack Black called "I Am The Warlock", a barely-song that represented all the tropes I hate in metal music, and I'm back to thinking "People can say my music is bland, but at least I never wrote 'Happy Ever After (Zero Hour)'".
