Then he sucked so bad during at the Shuli/PA shitshow that he got the red light and had to wrap up his set early despite 80% of the audience having already left.

He’s a conversational comedian. It’s a completely different thing than writing jokes. He’s the “funny guy” in a group of male friends.

The correct context for Anth is some kind of podcast… not this, and not whatever his show has become.

He might also consider buying some new clothes to wear on stage. His tattered, wrinkled, childish rags only serve to accentuate his natural ugliness. He looks just like a special ed kid who slipped away from the group during an "outing".

This was something that Anthony pushed forward hard on for years. That he was this genius comic who was waiting for his big entertainment break. But in reality Opie picked him from obscurity when Brother Joe brought him to his attention. And almost every single thing that Anthony did on radio was just him following Opie's lead. Anthony brought almost nothing original to the show. He was a joke machine and laugh track. Even Norton brought a lot of stuff to the show like the roasts, certain guests and comics, and some bits and characters.

Talking with other comedians over weird news stories? Opie's format for radio. Mayor dead prank? Anthony was vehemently against it and it was all Opie's idea. Jocktober? Anthony hated it at first. Assault on the Media? Homeless Shopping Spree? Anything else with listeners? Anthony always hated them and taking calls and doing anything that was unique to radio.

Anthony's idea of what was funny in the early 90s was song parodies. That was it. He was like a faggier less funny version of Weird Al. It took Opie close to a decade to make Anthony into the O&A version of Anthony. But Opie was the same person for their entire run, radio since 18, and so on. Opie was just the radio nerd with a very dark sense of humor but was not as quick as the other comics. But he reveled in the insanity of the open talk format that he would bring in the best comics and push the best bits because it made him laugh.

After Anthony was fired from Sirius he completely revised his own history. Instead of Opie discovering him and building him up into a legendary entertainer from being a HVAC repairman. He instead re-imagined himself as this tortured artist who was fighting to get out of the shadow of scumbag Opie who held him back his entire career. And a lot of fans bought into it and the idea still persists amongst Childpound Media fans.
