Last time Anthony Cumia was covered by the media

I can't believe he totally never even did this shit, and had evidence that prove he didn't do that shit, but the police -who he had vocally supported for years- made a point to "disappear" all of that evidence.
Even his lawyer at the end of video stated that things are not what they seem. So despite the enormous amount of exculpatory evidence the best they could do was come to a plea.

Man, that was such a shitty bit. Now, it's kind of difficult to believe that a real company willingly allowed themselves to take part in that. But all their old Stern-like sex-centric bits were so gay and try-hard.
Anything involving women in hindsight looks so pathetically overcompensating on O&A. Stern Show is the same way with Howard having tons of porn whores and women riding his sex machine device. Watching or listening to any of that now is just douche chilling.

It was at the time, too. When they ran from 2-6 in the afternoon, they always did the sex stuff after 4, so you could just turn it off and not miss anything funny. Nana with his endless overreacting..."OH NO HAHAHAHAHA!".

Not just vocally supported for years, but supported HIM for years. Stories of cops getting called to his house due to loud parties and then shitting on the person who called with him. The conspiracy angle is so fucking ridiculous its obviously something he pulled out of his ass, just like “I pleaded down!”

When Cumia couldn’t behave and was fired, obviously.

If we’re talking about when O&A got in trouble i would say Homeless Charlie was pretty big too.
It really is remarkable what a media black hole OnA was. You go on that show once you risk being sucked into eternal irrelevance.
This is nonsense. Wether they were being liked or hated O&A remained relevant under the surface, just creeping to the top, just a lul bit, every once and a while. Cake stomp went fawwkin viral everywhere multiple times over the last 15 years. Homeless Charlie as I said made the news. People who were on that show went on to have huge careers like Bill Burr, Jim Jeffries, Louis CK, and Joe Rogan. They made the news and impacted politics with the Anthony Weiner photo. They said the Mayor was dead and caused an emergency for the state. They had their finger on the pulse of early youtube and the internet covering shit like Chocolate Rain, AVGN, RLM, 2G1C, Somethingawful, and Chris Chan. They had Louis ask Donald Rumsfeld is he was a lizard which went fawwkin viral. Ant had his dumb sideways pistol Vine go viral. Homeless Mustard singing creep, recorded by the OPSTER, went fawwkin viral. The Jesse Ventura walk off went viral. The shit O&A used to talk about censoring words and cancel culture is the exact playbook of a majority of comedians / broadcasters today. Rogan literally credits them with inventing his podcast which is the most popular one ever.

Fact is the show was relevant right up until dumb fuck white nigger Nana got himself fired.

Shadow relevant, maybe. But it never got recognized, at least in the mainstream. If you say "Opie and Anthony" to most people they'll have no idea who you're talking about.
Going voiral doesn't mean much when people don't even attribute it to your show. "Man stomps homeless guy's cake" has few people connecting it to OnA, and even fewer people tuning into the show afterward. Most online attention gets lost in the ratrace of info anyway.

Guys like Burr or Louis who got big either because of OnA or coincidentally in the timeline have few fans that seem to recognize them from the show. At best OnA is just a springboard for some more fans at their stand-up shows, which translates into exec attention, which turns into specials/movies, which THEN garners public eye. OnA are so far removed at that point.

That's why I said it's remarkable; they're very close to fame and other famous people, but few people seem to know their names or the show. It was probably a combination of being a brand that got started in filth and controversy but, unlike Stern, they never pulled a big heel-turn and sucked Hollywood ass.
Above all else: real.
