You can spend hours writing about bullshit details like "the clunky metal button on the space machine coffee dispenser" or whatever the fuck else. You dont have to get into the weeds with tricky things like emotions, or enjoyable characters or anything, just describe garbage on a spaceship like laser toilets and your wordcount makes it look like you've actually writing a book.

He’s a psycho and his paperback books which make up almost 100% of his collection due to being poor / books are such shit publishers don’t bother putting them in hard cover since they won’t sell. The paperback books don’t even have any creases in the spine since he’s never opened them.

Exactly, most directors can’t even watch their own movies even if they’re good because all they can think of is “should of used this take, cut the scene this way, fleshed out this character more, etc.” Pat however thinks all his books are 5 star gold and can not be improved because they are perfect just like him. He’s quite the psycho if you ask me.

A few years ago I flew from Houston to Edmonton Canada to do some work in the northern Alberta oilfields. I went through Canada customs then on to the domestic terminal for my flight north which had a typical shopping and restaurant area. I walked around to kill time before the flight and found a short story dispenser. It printed off stories like a gas station receipt and I believe it was a thing supporting local authors (arteests). I didn't actually get one but this is exactly what I think Pat's books would be useful for. This was the first and only time I've seen this. Maybe it's a trend or even a regular thing that I never bothered paying attention to but I just had to share this very random memory, sweet summer childs.
