It's an insult popular in the pick up artist culture in the mid 2000's Danny was still using 10 years later like all the other slang he uses. Ironically he is the definition of a hopelessly corny loser who still says "my dude".. Now he's pretending he used it before it was cool, like that changes the fact that it's about as gay as saying YOLO in 2024

And NYC specific...no one ever used herb here, but they did (and probably still) use "goof", which meant the same thing and used the same way.
