Piggy said that it was October 2020 he put the wheels in motion for the defamation lawsuit.
His Strictly Stalking podcast appearance was in December 2020. That podcast no longer allows comments on his appearance and the hosts have since abandoned YouTube for unknown reasons.
It wasn't until January 2021 that the lawsuit officially commenced. Piggy accused a total of 60 John Does of defamation. He has failed to name a single one, and has in fact been tricked into believing the identities of comically fake suspects. His accusations have been found wanting within the courts. He is now in danger of the entire case being lost, by his own lawyer's admission, at the next hearing in one week (30 September).
There have been several court sessions in two jurisdictions. Covid forced them to be presented online allowing the forum to witness them. Each time he's been able to, he has comically appeared online in court, including for an unrelated speeding ticket.
Piggy has had humiliating interviews revealed. He has done more damage to his own case than anyone else possibly could.
He has spent over $100,000 in SFWA legal fund fees without naming a single defendant. He will in all likelihood owe John Doe 1's legal fees, currently sitting at about $25,000. He was unaware this was even a possibility and has stated as such in an interview where he also stated he would refuse to pay them. SFWA's own documentation reveals that they do not pay incurred damages. It is unknown if the SFWA legal fund is a loan paid to Piggy or if they are simply funding it out of their pocket.
Fake journalist Seth Simons, who was in league with Piggy, trashed his own credibility. This is being celebrated by the very people he sought to injure. Vice journalist Anna Merlan spent not insignificant time on a now worthless article.
Piggy has become a regular "lolcow" on the Kiwiforums website. He tried suing them but his information is still posted there without interruption.
He still does not have a verified Twitter account.
On the other side of the ledger, several forum members changed their usernames and deleted some disposable social media accounts. Quasi has paid legal fees he will hopefully have returned to him by order of the court.
