What’s curious is that, to date, there has been no evidence (to the best of my knowledge) to back up his claimed number, other than news articles about him. Those news articles echo his claims, but their source for the claims is Rick himself. No further fact-checking seems to have taken place, other than a few cursory checks.

Thank you! He makes a claim, oinks it to the press, they publish it as "Tomlinson claims...", and that gives it enough credibility that it's now a verifiable fact.

All so that he never ever ever ever ever ever has to provide evidence or sources, and can live by "because I said so" logic.

I wonder if Keene is aware of the fact that the caller in the voice mails used the name Canyon Boykin, which was a fakie fed to Rick by Josiah and SpaceEdge during the Apostlegate prank. No one but Rick and maybe three or four ultra Nazi cyberstlaker cult imposters, including Muñoz and Apostle, would have known about that name in this context.
