Yeah, this whole comedy thing became a lot tougher for them once he left office. But because they jumped into the industry when they saw everyone else doing it while Trump was in office, they had just assumed it would always be so easy.
Now the Orange Man Bad social media crew have pivoted to tweeting about corporate hiring policies and their god-given right to work remotely. Funny that, innit child?
It’s why so many current “comedians” don’t even tell jokes. They just lecture about society, blame everything on white people and say virtue signaling things for cheap pops because if you don’t clap or cheer YOU’RE the problem. It’s cheering so you don’t get called a nazi by a group of strangers. It’s white guilt taken to a disgusting level.

Yeah, the point was it's HARD to be a comedian.
But not for Pig. No, he pays his mortgage with his free appearances, child. Sorry I'm so bad at this.

This really illustrates what a complete flyover state rube he is.

These kinds of events are free to attend and the performers do not get paid. When I lived in Boston, you could go to 3 or 4 of these in a night around the same neighborhood - despite the fact Boston's comedy scene has been in decline since it peaked in the 90s. Often it's open registration and the first people to sign up get stage time - back in the day, rooms would make you fill a certain number of seats with a drink minimum, but that hasn't been enforced in years. So literally anybody can do these.

Boston open micers have to work these stupid events for years, eventually branch out and start their own events, build a network, start a podcast or do something to gain a following, write their asses off to build a portfolio, all just so they can move to New York and start from scratch - all so they can move to LA and start over once again. Pig believes, however, that just because he performed a few times for free in front of 20 people he now can call himself a comedian.
This is like me calling myself a golfer because I got drunk at a company outing one time.

His complete lack of respect for hard work and the time it takes to get good at something is a real mark on his character. He assumes he can do anything better than everyone else without investing any time into practicing. What an absolute pig.
The KF page pointed out how Pat doing some open mics and believing he’s a real comedian is regularly mocked by actual comedians. He thinks just getting on stage makes him at the same level as Chris Rock or Jerry Seinfeld without putting in the work which is enraging.

Direct parallels with his writing career. He's an open mic author.

You tease the full set in the KF thread. Please post it, brotherman. I need these bombs.

Incidentally, I have been trying to find some info on his set from either December 12 or 13, 2016 but so far, no dice. This is the day he embarrassed himself on stage so badly that he apologized on Twitter, a true rarity for him.
I really want to know what happened, for him to apologize he must of had some incredible breakdown on stage. He always says he’s right and has never been wrong so for him to do this he must of lashed out at the crowd because they weren’t enjoying his set and probably threatened violence and burned whatever bridges / relationships he had at the time. Pat knew he fucked up big to say he’s sorry. Damage Control Pat was never seen again.
