KF has been exploring Pigs “comedy” career, they found out when searching him he’s barely done anything and was mostly open mics. One event looks like he wrote the description because it said it was an “all-star” lineup followed by his name first.

They found an event he organized by him and a group to tell just Trump jokes all night (cringe) but does anyone know if that was the event he had some kind of meltdown? He mentioned once about being sorry for his angry Trump set and looks like it was the last time he did stand up. Anyone sure if this was the night?

Damn, I was hoping it was from an event he was involved with. Funny how his “comedy group” that organized shows doesn’t seem to want pig doing stand up with them anymore. I bet he told them he was a famous author and could get big crowds based on his name.

I can’t see the appeal of a comedy night where they ONLY tell jokes about Trump. It’s like what comedians say about doing roasts, after 4-5 people go all the best jokes are done and you’re just saying the same thing with less laughs. I think Jay Leno said with stand up it’s the rule of 3 where after you’ve done 3 jokes on the same thing you have to move on because it gets old.

It did get old, when it became so normalized that an entire generation of millennial comedians tried to launch careers around Trump jokes because it was the path of least resistance. Making fun of Trump's orange skin became like comedians in the 80s calling Russians poor. It's safe, simple, and not funny.

At first it was just like how hack comedians told lame Bush jokes for 8 years. Then these “comedians” all seemed to have serious obsessions with Trump and couldn’t function in society. The big comedians said that kind of humor is a crutch since you’re just all repeating the same jokes for a cheap pop, take away Trump and they’ve got nothing. Look at all the “orange man bad” crowd on twitter, they claimed they couldn’t live with him as president now are clinging to anything Trump they can.

Boston open micers have to work these stupid events for years, eventually branch out and start their own events, build a network, start a podcast or do something to gain a following, write their asses off to build a portfolio, all just so they can move to New York and start from scratch - all so they can move to LA and start over once again.

Could you imagine spending $30 at the door taking your date to a re-enactment of a single sitcom episode? I'd actually have a small amount of respect if it was an improv troupe "channeling" a popular TV show but essentially coming up with a "new" episode. Like when the Damsels of Dorkington wrote Game of Thrones the Musical - at least they're swinging the bat creatively. But they're reading word for word from a sitcom script like it's fucking Hamlet.

Do you think the ensemble sings the theme song together and encourages the audience to sing along? So no one told you life was gonna be this way... COME ON YOU KNOW IT PEOPLE! Ewwwwww. I'd want the opening act back, he had some pretty good jokes about his ex-wife.

Jesus Christ that sounds like the ultimate torture. Local improv group not actually doing improv and recreated word for word an old sitcom followed by Patrick. That sitcom idea sounds like it would get a few laughs for the first 1 minute (durrrr this wacky, remember the 80s?!?!) but 25?

The idea is so stupid, instead of coming up with a different spin or something they got lazy and just did it as it was written. It’s an improv group not doing any improv and they have the balls to charge 15 at the door? This is where the Great White concert disaster should have been.
