- Torswats would repeat these allegations in private chats which were not intended for public view.

Yeah, you worry about that after you’re done. Especially if you’re writing for kids or young adults, you need to stick to a certain word count range particularly if you are a new author. But first of all, can’t he edit his own work? Just finish the manuscript and then adjust the word count if you need to.
Secondly, word count restrictions don’t normally apply to established, successful authors. I would imagine an author making six figures, which would put him in elite status if that’s his annual income from writing, wouldn’t need to worry about that.
