I don’t know that I can get through it this year.

The first match with Gunther and USO was ridiculous. They’re doing that thing again where there are so many near falls that it comes across as fake. Gunther hit the dude with his belt and it was a two count.

But yeah. Everything is fake and gay. Especially pro wrestling.

The DMAN grew up watching the barbwire matches and the flaming tables. However, shit like that is just straight up retarded. It's not fun to watch certain injury. The DMAN never wanted to watch the clip of Sid breaking his leg. The DMAN likes to see people get reasonably hurt, not injured and maimed. He likes to see a kick to the balls, a slap in the face, a good choke hold, etc. He doesn't like to see body parts separating or skin being broken (beyond some color which never hurt nobody but Bob Orton)

The DMAN used to watch Axl Rotten and Ian Rotten do the taped fist broken glass matches, tearing each other's faces to shreds. Those fat white niggers didn't flinch or make it look "fake" and they didn't panic. The dedication to extreme brutality is admirable on some level, but nobody knows who Axl Rotten or Ian Rotten are -- and rightfully so. Ian (at least) doesn't deserve to be remembered. He's just a gross sick fuck. At least Axl had some other things going for him.

The point is, Edge used to send tapes to ECW begging to work for a company that made their people work for free, and he couldn't even get a call back. Dan Ambrose will never be Mick Foley, he will never even be Tommy Dreamer... He will always be a jonny come lately doing shit way too long after anyone cares. No one will ever know these people's names, despite the shit they do being one-of-a-kind and in some cases probably a world record (most number of broken-glass punches has to be in the book of records somewhere)

All the best wrestlers had less than 10 moves, none of which involved foreign objects. Closest thing was the Dudley Boyz putting everybody through tables, but even that got over because Bubba would slow down and tell D’von to get the tables.
