Reminds me of Comanechi or Merzbow, or any sort of Japanese static noise rock. Hard to listen to sober.

Britpop I think does need to be somewhat melodic or jangly to count. Boa are rather good.

There's always Cool Cymru as well, bit of Catatonia, Gorky's, Datblygu or Super Furrys.








Liam G is better at tweeting than anything else. I can only count a few vocal performances of his as truly musical or affective--the studio recording of 'Don't Go Away' I think is one good example. A few early demos of 'Cast No Shadow' are beautiful, too. It's in him, he just isn't arsed.
