Not this pearshaped purple twat again. I have little sisters & cousins and we all grew up latchkey in the 90s, so you can imagine how many shagging Barney videos I was forced to sit through over and over.
How such rubbish made it to our shores is beyond me. It's not even camp or fun innuendo like some trashy kids' TV, it's just treacly pep-rally mindwashing for the limited. And the puppets were so ugly and creepy, even worse than the Ninja Turtle musical ones.
The New York City live VHS was the worst of all. They were going for pantomime and missed the mark by a wide margin. Even so I still have every note and song formatively ingrained. Wish I could Randy Rainbow these dinos and their passel of obnoxious kid friends (who must be in their 40s or 50s by now) into oblivion.
And just HOW were BJ and the green girl dinosaur meant to be siblings when they aren't even the same species? I hate it here, nothing works.
