I have never seen someone who claims to be an author be so abysmal at simple things like spelling, grammar, syntax, and the like. If you are truly a wordsmith, then mistakes in these areas should be few and far between, and consequently notable.

Stephen King Size here makes so damn many (especially typos) that we often overlook them. Were I masquerading as a "professional author" and I got called out publicly on social media for an error like the whole "eclectic / ecliptic" thing, I would be nothing short of humiliated. Not Rick, though. He just ignores it like he ignores Annabelle, and Seth Simons ignores sexual assault allegations.

I'd say you have a better grasp on English than I do. I live in a bilingual country and the thought of learning a whole other language seems like a shit ton of frustrating memory work to me. I know enough that I can read the signs and tell them I don't speak their faggy frog language and that's about it.

You're too humble... Also, English is not as difficult to learn as French. Helps that most of the best entertainment is in English. I wouldn't have learned it as easily if it hadn't been for the HBO shows of the 2000s. I also listened regularly to O&A or Ron & Fez between 2010 - 2015. There's probably no equivalent to those shows in any other language.
