Whenever Patrick S Tomlinson comes up, I have a question I've been asking for over 6 years now of the SFWA crowd. In over 6 years, no one has ever answered in honesty.
Here it is. You're in your in-laws' bank. Why isn't important. A fire alarm goes off. You run comedically for the exit. As you waddle down this hallway, you hear someone calling you "fat" from behind a door. You throw open the door and find the Internet laughing at you.
The Internet is in one corner of the room. In the other corner, you spot a satchel labeled "$83k of Your In-laws' Money". The smoke is rising. You start to choke. You know you can grab one or "No, child" the other, but not both before you succumb to the smoke inhalation and die, leaving an online memorial page open and vulnerable.
Do you A) "No, child" the Internet or B) Admit you're fat and save your in-laws' $83k? There is no "C". "C" means you SWATted yourself.
