I remember Fratto said something not long after Eric’s funeral regarding his grave that pissed his parents off. I think Eric’s family and friends hated him. I read on the stern show Reddit a few years ago that Eric had this group of close friends that slowly distanced themselves because they didn’t trust Fratto. One guy tried to caution Eric, saying Fratto was just using him and his connection to the show. Eric stopped talking and the guy started getting threatening messages from Fratto.

I never liked Johnny Fratto when he called. You could tell he was behind a lot of the bullshit regarding Eric and his calls. The Kendra saga, “You know what to do”, his demands regarding In Plain Sight, and many more. All Johnny trying to come up with ways to get on the show. Some of them made Eric look extremely ungrateful and belligerent, which to be fair he was, but unfortunately he was too stupid to realize he was being taken advantage of. He also seemed too dependent on Fratto; I think he felt he would go nowhere in acting without him, not that he really went anywhere. How many times did he “fire” him and brought him back?

Shit, I’m going to need to re-listen again. Didn’t realize last month was 10 years since his death. The Sanjaya saga is still my favorite.
