• Ooga changes the names of all the characters to porch monkey names, then removes the woman from the story, changes nothing else, then submits it as his own work
• He then repeatedly lies to the woman about communication and timelines

My first job out of college I was a manuscript coordinator for a VERY important medical journal funded by the NIH and CDC. Think Harvard and MIT editorial staff.

One of our staff's biggest problems was... Ok let's say we received 1000 submissions for papers a month. NINETY PERCENT of them were from Africa or China, and they were almost EXCLUSIVELY (poorly) plagiarized from Western papers. There was an ongoing philosophical discussion about whether or not we should have a policy of not featuring researchers from those places due to their culture of "shared IP," but the NIH and CDC (and pssst... the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation who were a silent partner in everything) demanded we collaborate with these places because it lent credence to the idea there's a "global healthcare community."

Dude most of the mice biotech/pharma/research companies buy for live sample testing are from China, and they get caught sending us tainted mice all the time. It's fucking diabolical.

And the Africans. Don't get me started. These NIGGERS from Lagos University or whatever the fuck don't even know how to format their supplemental tables and data. It's like freshman at a poor State school-level papers coming in to one of the most prestigious med journals on earth and we HAVE to publish them or Bill Gates will pull his funding. And their papers are PLAGIARIZED from other Western papers that WEREN'T published.

Fuck Africa. That place sucks and their people are dragging down the whole planet. Fuck em.


This is just one article from one year. The fact is, it's a cultural difference in academia of Western (publish or die) vs Eastern (just get published bro, who cares who wrote it). Westerns value their work and want to be compensated for it, whereas Easterners think Westerners are idiots for doing the legwork if they can also be compensated for it.
