Even back in the mid 90s, the Simpsons was laughing at how stupid and hokey the whole "only YOU" thing was. Pig unironically wears that t-shirt and actually thinks he's being cool and educating people.

It's hilarious that he likes Matt Groening cartoons when he's basically a parody of a human being who would be lampooned in the Simpsons (back when it was good) or Futurama. It's also ironic that all the characters in his awful books sound like Zapp Brannigan.
