If the skitzo that ratted out the secret forum's activities was telling the truth, then it turns out the attacks on Patrick's home aren't as false flag-y as I thought.
To those folks, I submit this: What if, instead of fucking with Pat physically, the forums instead made it their goal to get him to 300 pounds irl, through LEGAL online shenanigans alone? Getting him to true morbidly obese levels would dramatically affect his life, even if all he does is sit on his ass all day...
