Normally this wouldn't stick out very much, but considering how much of an identarian and race obsessed numbnuts Cumia is, it seems odd that he rarely references his own ethnic group/culture outside of Goodfellas or Sopranos references or the occasional self depreciating joke
Generally Italian Americans are one of the few American sub-cultures that really grasp onto their identity and still noticeably stick out to an extent, especially older generations. Yet you could listen to hundreds of hours of O&A and never realize Anthony is a swarthy Sicilian except for his name.
It's always " I'm white, I'm a white male, it's so hard being white! "
Obviously family is one of the defining factors in Italian American identity, which Tranthony lacks.
But I still find it strange that a man so obsessed with identity has almost zero connection or leaning towards embracing his actual people.
