Mind you, this was in the early 2000's, a time when all Louie could realistically promise these women is a bit part in Lucky Louie. A show that Jim Norton had a starring role in. It was long before he got famous and had any real influence in the industry. This argument is believable in cases like Harvest Weinstein. He was a very powerful man in Hollywood and could easily get someone blackballed for not complying with his perversions. Louie is kicking off his comeback tour at Madison Square Garden. Shane Gillis is crushing it on Patreon and YouTube. He's a consistently great guest on any podcast he's featured on. If I see him on something, even if it's a show I'm unfamiliar with, I'm very likely to check it out. He's been on Rogan. His sketch channel on YouTube is hilarious. Even if faggot Lorne Michaels hadn't buckled under the pressure to fire him, I doubt many of his ideas would've made it to air. He's better off being "canceled."
