You’re right but also wrong. In certain things like human rights you’re correct. The Brits ended slavery, gave rights to blacks, gave rights to women, and rights to gays way before America. But in terms of our legal system its something set in stone that won’t really change. There is no way in hell anyone even 100 years from now would be released from prison after downloading GB of child porn. Unless you’re like Jeffery Epstein of course…from what I understand Britain is just a fucked country. 30 or so years ago there was a famous case of these kids who kidnapped a fellow student and tortured her for unimaginable ways over the course of a week, eventually murdering her by setting her on fire. Every perpetrator has been released from UK jail since then. They would have been put to death in the states.

He literally blamed his file sharing over COVID medication and the courts let him off. Guy must have shared some files with a politician or member of the royal family. I can almost understand if someone was tricked into downloading a torrent of porn and kids stuff was included getting no jail time if it was clearly a legitimate mistake.
I don't understand how he was making and uploading category c photos. The law is that's non sexual photos of kids but I can't imagine he's just uploading random kid photos so what's going off there?

I don't know how the UK intelligence community operates, but the majority of kiddy porn in the US is on the CIA/FBI servers. They know where all these pedophiles are at pretty much all times (especially the ones who download images and videos online).

I read a couple of articles on it and it's super confusing. One said that he MADE five illegal images of kids, but that he downloaded all of the images. So... he took downloaded a picture and cropped out a naked child? idk.
